What will you do

As a construction worker at WastePartners Emmeloord, you play an important role in the maintenance and repair of a great fleet of vehicles. WastePartners is the partner for service and integral universal maintenance of all rolling stock in the waste, cleaning, and recycling industry. We specialize in performing complete maintenance on the construction of cleaning vehicles and garbage trucks such as rear loaders, side loaders, crane hopper vehicles, and sewer cleaning vehicles.

As a construction worker, you are responsible for repairing damages and welding and construction work on the vehicles. Your welding techniques and assembly work ensure that all vehicles can safely hit the road. So, a big responsibility!

A selection of your tasks:

• Construction and assembly work;

• Welding (MIG/MAG) and sheet metal work;

• Working with a cutting torch;

• Performing adjustments to constructions and checking the operation of the constructions;

• Finding and fixing malfunctions; both electrically and hydraulically;

• Working with electrical, transmission, and fuel systems.

What we ask of you

As a Construction Worker, you are eager to learn, curious, and quickly see what needs to be done. Furthermore, you regularly switch between work orders and must be able to work very accurately.

In addition, you have:

• A completed lower vocational education (LBO) or secondary vocational education (MBO) in a technical field (Mechanical Engineering or Metal Electro);

• Experience as a construction worker or as a mechanic in agricultural mechanization (is a plus);

• Affinity with heavy commercial vehicles and different types of vehicles, brands, and constructions;

• A flexible attitude and no 9-to-5 mentality;

• Welding certificates MIG/MAG 1 or 2;

• Knowledge of and experience with hydraulic systems (is a plus).
